Tea Museum
It has the distinction for being India’s only tea museum. Tea tasting is the main activity here, and tourists can sit through a session and learn how tea is ‘tasted’ and sorted out for various dealers and auctioneers.
The building is located in a 100-year-old tea estate managed by the Kanan Devan Hills Produce Company. In the museum there are tea processing machines, a Pelton wheel, old tea rollers and a second-century burial urn, a 20th century engine wheel that belongs to the Kundala Valley Railway. Don’t forget to check out the photographs from the last century that gives you a glimpse of life in Munnar in the past.
